Ronix Terms of Service

Last updated: October 8, 2026

These Terms govern your use of the heyronix website, Ronix macOS application, and related services. Ronix is an independently developed software product. By using Ronix, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Ronix (“the Software”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Software.

2. Software License

Ronix is proprietary software. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application for personal or commercial purposes, subject to your applicable plan.

You may not redistribute, resell, reverse engineer (except where legally permitted), or circumvent licensing restrictions.

3. Trials, Purchases, and Refunds

Ronix may offer free trials, one-time licenses, or subscriptions. The applicable price, duration, features, and limitations are presented when you obtain or purchase the Software.

A free trial does not automatically become a paid subscription. Expiration may restrict access to features but does not automatically delete your locally stored content.

Payments may be processed by an independent merchant of record, whose purchasing conditions also apply. Refunds follow the terms disclosed at checkout and applicable consumer protection laws.

4. Recording and Content

You are responsible for ensuring that your recordings comply with applicable laws, including obtaining any required consent from participants.

You must have the right to record, import, download, or process any content you use with Ronix.

You retain ownership of your recordings, transcripts, notes, and other content. You are responsible for protecting and backing up locally stored files.

5. AI and Third-Party Services

Ronix performs audio recording and transcription locally. Optional features may transmit transcript text to AI providers you select.

Ronix may integrate with third-party artificial intelligence providers, including OpenAI and Anthropic. Third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. You are responsible for any associated API charges and for deciding whether the content you submit is appropriate for those services.

Optional features may share selected information with third-party services when you enable or authorize them, for example your AI API keys or MCP connections.

Third-party services operate independently and have their own privacy policies, pricing, limitations, and availability.

When you use supported AI summary features, relevant transcript text is transmitted to your selected provider for processing. Audio recordings are not transmitted for summary generation.

AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies. You must review important information before relying on it.

You are solely responsible for obtaining and managing your API keys

6. Availability and Updates

We may update, modify, or discontinue features to improve or maintain the Software.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, perfect transcription accuracy, successful recordings in every situation, or compatibility with all future devices and operating systems.

7. Warranties and Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ronix is provided “as is,” without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, including lost recordings, incorrect transcripts, or data loss, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that recordings will always succeed, transcripts will be completely accurate, or AI-generated content will be correct, please always double check.

Where legally permitted, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for Ronix during the preceding 12 months.

8. Termination

You may stop using Ronix at any time. We may terminate or restrict a license for material violations of these Terms, subject to applicable law.

Termination does not transfer ownership of your content to us or automatically delete your locally stored files.

9. Changes and Contact

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated where legally required.

For questions, use the official contact information published on the heyronix.com website.
