Dictation audio is processed on your Mac. After downloading your speech model, you can dictate without an internet connection. Your local dictation history lets you revisit and copy previous text. Optional cloud meeting summaries are separate from dictation.

Yes. Ronix pastes dictated text into the focused text field using macOS Accessibility permission. Microphone access is required to capture your voice.

Do I need a cloud AI subscription?

No cloud AI subscription or API key is needed for local dictation. Initial speech-model downloads require internet access.
